Whos Making Your Decisions?

‘I love my boyfriend but there is an age gap ’

‘I feel like my friends will judge me for the guy i'm seeing, he's not what they would expect me to be ’

‘I have this business idea but i'm afraid  of what people will think ‘

Your ego cares what everyone thinks it strives for people 's approval in order to survive, it doesn't care what makes you feel good, it only cares about what you look like to other people.

I see people holding back on commitment because they feel they need to be with the person that people expect them to be with. But, the soul knows what it wants- If a person connects to your soul, if you feel amazing in their company and you bring out the best in each other that should be enough. But instead people allow ego to make their decisions.

By hiding away someone you love not only will cause you pain but it will cause the other person damage that may lead to insecurity and we all know how crap it feels to feel insecure in a relationship. 

Everytime you go to make a decision, I want you to ask yourself is this decision made to please others or to please myself ?

Don’t sin against your soul to feel a sense of approval from others, the only approval you need is your own. 

Does it make you feel joy ? Does it get you excited ?- Then f*ck what others think.

At the beginning of my journey of instagram I heard people mocking me. I felt like I needed to please them and fit in, So I stopped, I shut down my instagram for 6 months until I began my self discovery journey and realised I should be working towards what makes me feel good. 

So what made me feel good? Helping others by sharing my journey, and that's exactly what I did. 

The messages I have received saying I've saved their lives or I have guided them in some way would never exist if I listened to my ego. So I invite you to listen to your soul and be very aware when you make a decision to please others and not yourself.

I'm going to leave with a statement made by a man who was on the stand in front of a crowd about to be executed before someone interrupted to say he was innocent and he was let go free.

‘When I look back at the past of all the time I squandered in error and idleness, lacking the knowledge needed to love, when I think of how often I sinned against my heart and my soul, then my heart bleeds. Life is a gift, life is happiness, every minute could have been an eternity of happiness! If youth only knew! Now my life will change; now I will be reborn. Dear brother, I swear that I shall not lose hope. I will keep my soul pure and my heart open. I will be reborn for the better.
